Repurposing
Good content dies in one feed. A thread that worked on X can carry a LinkedIn post and an Instagram carousel without you writing anything new, so Stanley does the conversion and you approve the results.
Pick a source
Stanley starts from any of these:
- a URL to one of your X threads or posts
- a LinkedIn post, linked or pasted in
- "my best post this month", which pulls the top performer from analytics the way recipe 04 does
You don't need to copy anything over. Hand him the link or the description and he fetches the rest.
Core walkthrough
Name the source and the targets in one message.
Take this thread and repurpose it: [URL]. I want a LinkedIn post, a Threads chain, and an Instagram carousel.
Stanley replies with one draft per platform, each wrapped in a tag like
<linkedin_post>or<threads_post>. Read them as standalone posts, not translations; the LinkedIn version has to work for someone who never saw the thread. Ask for changes the way you'd ask a person, and if you edit a draft yourself, paste it back with the wrapper tag intact so Stanley knows which platform's rules to check it against. The LinkedIn draft buries the lead. Open with the result from tweet 4 and cut the hashtags.
For a quote card, point at your strongest single post. Stanley screenshots the X post into an image and stages it as media you can attach to a draft.
Turn this post into a quote-card image: [URL]. Attach it to the LinkedIn draft.
For a carousel, he renders the thread into slides. Tell him how to split it, or let him follow the thread's own beats.
Build a carousel from that thread, one tweet per slide, and save it for Instagram.
Approve what you like and tell Stanley where to put it.
Schedule the LinkedIn post and the Threads chain into my next open slots. Hold the Instagram carousel as a draft.
Where things land
Text drafts go onto your calendar as scheduled drafts, which you can move or delete later (recipe 02 covers the calendar). Quote cards and carousel slides are staged media, attached to whichever drafts you named. Instagram is the exception: Stanley prepares the carousel and caption, but nothing on Instagram ever auto-publishes, so the finished slides wait in your photo gallery until you post them yourself.
Character limits, file sizes, and per-platform attachment rules live in recipe 09. Stanley enforces them while drafting, so a thread too long for a single Threads post comes back as a chain instead of an error.
Going the other way
The same pattern runs in reverse. Suppose a LinkedIn post of yours landed and you want it on X:
This LinkedIn post did well: [URL]. Cut it down to a single X post, and give me a thread version too so I can compare.
When it goes wrong
Stanley can't read the source URL. He reads public posts; a link behind a login wall stays closed to him, so paste the text in instead.
Drafts for one platform land nowhere or error out. The connection has probably expired. Recipe 01 covers reconnecting.
The converted draft sounds generic. Name the lines to keep verbatim; Stanley carries them across unchanged.
The carousel splits in odd places. Give him the boundaries yourself: say slide 1 is the hook, slides 2 to 5 are one tip each, and the last slide is the ask.
